The Kinglake region consists of Kinglake, Kinglake Central, Kinglake West, Toolangi and Pheasant Creek and extends from the Melba Highway to the Whittlesea - Yea Road, following a ridge on the North Eastern Slopes of the Great Dividing Range, approximately 700 m above sea level. The townships consists of galleries, cafes, specialist nurseries, horse riding schools and the well known House of Bottles and surrounded by the 3 main sections of Kinglake National Park.


Toolangi is the home to C.J. Dennis's Singing Gardens, artisans, the Toolangi State Forest Sculpture and garden walks and the spectacular Whilhelmina Falls.
